The Christie Crawlfest is a community celebration combining four awesome annual events into one: 4th Homegrown Park Crawl, 2nd Laneway Crawl, 6th Christie Art Crawl, and the Bells on Bloor bike parade.

Route:  Find us in Willowvale Lane, at the northwest corner of Christie Pits Park.

  • Hula hoops & sidewalk chalk

  • Project Human Art Installations
  • Guerilla gardening
  • City Doctors
  • Zumba & line dancing classes
  • Table hockey

Come and check out the innovative Laneway Puncture pilot project. Laneway Punctures are incisions along the central drainage channels of paved laneways, which are repaved with open-celled pavers and planted with hardy plants.

Full Crawlfest Schedule:

10am: Pop-up arts market with 60+ vendors in southwest corner of Christie Pits Park
11am: Bells on Bloor Victory Lap bike parade, starts at south end of park
12pm: 20+ Food & drink vendors begin sales, plus art and kids activities in park
1pm: Art, music, dancing and guerrilla gardening in Willowvale Lane (northeast of the park)
1pm: Lemon Bucket Orkestra performance begins, at children's playground
1:30pm: Musical parade to Willowvale Lane
2:30pm: Final performance by Lemon Bucket Orkestra, at playground
3pm: More music, food, art and dance in the park and laneway until 6pm.

Contribute: Residents, businesses and community groups are encouraged to contribute to the Crawl. There are endless ways to participate in the laneway fun: set up a lawn game, have a clothing swap or garage sale, offer a pet watering hole, open up your back doors, set up some seating, tidy up the rear side of your property, play music, have a bake sale, offer food tastings....use your imagination and let us know what you're thinking by emailing michelle@thelanewayproject.ca
