WHAT IS A LANEWAY CRAWL?
A Laneway Crawl is a pop-up festival that redefines how we think of, experience and use our city’s laneways. These events activate our city's laneways with fun, participative activities, and transform them into vital, vibrant parts of their neighbourhood public realm.
LANEWAY CRAWL ACTIVATION IDEAS
Every Laneway Crawl needs the essentials: food and music. Getting the local residents, community groups, and businesses involved is also key. Beyond that, it's up to each community to decide how they want to activate the space. Here are some ideas:
- Art workshops
- Pickup sports tournaments
- Garage mural painting/live street art
- Market or pop-up shops
- Bike races
- BBQ or potluck
